“Bobby Dog”, was launched at Calke Abbey,
a National Trust property near Derby, in July 2022.
And the soft toy, Bobby, comes with an adoption certificate for its young owner!
2024 saw the 10th anniversary of Sue’s first book, “Alfie’s Story”.
To celebrate, Liz has completely re-illustrated the book and the
10th anniversary celebratory edition was published in October 2024.
July 2025 saw the arrival of “Billy the Bat”, and his accompanying character soft toy.
Whoever would have thought a bat could be so lovable?
This book has been a commission from Wentworth Woodhouse in South Yorkshire.
These seven books by Derbyshire author, Sue Wilkins, are beautifully illustrated by Liz Furness, also from Derbyshire.
They are ideal bedtime stories or indeed anytime stories for babies and then children up to 7 or 8 years of age.

On a different note, I’ve managed to hold the price of my books at £6.99 for the last 10 years.
But increases in the cost of paper, ink and transport during that time mean that, sadly, I have no choice but to increase the price to £7.99.
This will only happen as each title needs a reprint.
