Arkwright sits atop his best-ever Easter hat

Here’s one of my fans sporting an amazing Easter hat, featuring his favourite character, Arkwright the duck. And he’s taken the trouble to draw one of my own favourite illustrations from the book: “the Tunnel that ROARS!”

This young man recently went along to Cromford Mill with his classmates on a school outing. Whilst there, they heard all about Richard Arkwright, who built the mill back in the 18th century. But they were much more taken with the mill’s mascot: Arkwright the duck.

Their teacher bought a copy of my book, “Arkwright the Duck”, and told me the children love the story. So much so that they have invited me to visit their school later this year to read this and my other stories to the pupils.

  • Arkwright the duck returns!

Arkwright the duck has been away on his travels – I think he calls it his “migration”.  I didn’t know ducks migrated, did you? Anyway, he’s not been around for over a year and has just returned from the other side of the world. He’s delighted to be back and so are we! …because you can now…
